Let’s Begin

DAY 4: BUILD STRENGTH & AWARENESS

You’ve made it past the hardest part. Starting wasn’t the hardest part, staying with it is.

Now things shift.

You don’t just feel better - you start trusting yourself again.

You’ve been moving. You’ve been eating with more intention. You’ve been paying attention.

Now it’s time to give your body a reason to…respond.

Let’s keep going.

Your Focus Today

We’re introducing your body to something new. You’re ready for a little more, but we’re keeping it simple.

Up until now, you’ve been building consistency. Today, you start building your body.

Not with anything extremes. Just enough to wake things up…and remind your body what it can do.

Step 1: Move Your Body

Keep your walk the same:

15-45 minutes

Comfortable pace

You should be able to talk

Step 2: Add Strength (This changes everything)

You don’t need a full workout here.

Just a few simple movements to start activating your muscles again.

Note: You can adjust your walk if needed today. Some things to consider since we’re now adding strength into plan:

  • Shorten it to save energy

  • Use part of it as a warmup for your workout

  • Split it up throughout the day

What to do: (1-2 rounds):

Adjust anything you need to. This is about you and only you. Don’t make it harder than it needs to be. Don’t overthink it.

Move slow. Stay in control.

Rest when you need to.

You should walk away feeling better, not worse.

Why this matters:

Walking helps you feel better.

Strength training is what actually reshapes your body.

And as we get older, muscle becomes more important, not less.

If you’re not using it, you’re going to lose it.

That affects your metabolism, your strength, your balance, and how your body looks and feels.

This is the piece most women 40+ are missing.

The good news? Your body can rebuild at any age!

Step 3: Support Your Body with Food and Hydration

You’ve already created consistency with your meals and hydration.

When you add strength training into the mix, your body needs the right fuel and hydration to support it.

It needs adequate protein, nutrients, and hydration to recover and respond.

Without it, progress slows. With it, your body responds.

You’ve got a few days behind you now, so you already know what this should look like today.

Step 4: Follow Through

You’ve been putting in the work.

That alone puts you ahead of where you were.

Not because you’ve done everything right, but because you didn’t stop.

You’ve moved more.

You’ve followed through.

This is where results begin.

What builds confidence faster?

Trying to do everything right…

or proving to yourself that you can follow through with something?

That answer matters because confidence doesn’t come from thinking about it.

It comes from showing up again and again.

Looking ahead…

Feeling better is one thing…

Knowing how to keep going is what actually changes everything.

And now…you’re starting to figure that out.
